About
Janelle Kingsley is, amongst many aspects, a spirited yoga and meditation teacher based in Melbourne, Australia. Her exploration of yoga began more than fifteen years ago whilst studying at university. Growing up and as a young student, Janelle was naturally inquisitive about the less tangible aspects of our existence. Through continued questioning, she found herself wanting to explore deeper, to bring to light the parts of herself and humankind that couldn’t be studied in text books, but required further exploration and embodiment. It was through her discovery of yoga that Janelle accessed further vitality, deeper inner wisdom and soul-fulfilling nourishment.
Janelle is passionate about living full-spectrum. With her vibrant, honest and mystical energy (she is often described as a ‘pixie’ by almost everyone who meets her) she allows access to all aspects of ourselves, facilitating expansion, vulnerability, connection and vibrancy. She has a deep fascination with spirituality, using her spiritual journey as a mirror for reflection to guide her and others along a path of self healing and self awareness. Experiencing all emotions with openness and intrigue, Janelle moves from a place of inner purpose, cultivating a radiance that is truly bright and expansive.
Janelle has taught diverse groups of people, ranging from the Department of Defence, Medibank Private for R U OK Day, meditation workshops for the largest telecommunications company in Australia, Telstra, students at La Trobe University for Mental Health Week, regular classes for mothers at a midwifery clinic, weekly virtual yoga classes for healthcare workers across Australia and the UK and for refugee women with The Yoga Impact Charity, of which Janelle is also an Ambassador, and regular weekly classes throughout various venues and studios in Melbourne.
With her joyful energy and downright infectious laugh, it’s hard not to see the brighter side of life when in Janelle’s company.
